The Rupert Lounge

For up to 20 people

The Rupert Lounge is recognised as one of the most unique and atmospheric function rooms in Shrewsbury. With oak panels from floor to ceiling and exposed beams on the roof, it feels like the kind of place where Tudor nobles might have raised a toast.

Yet it's flooded with natural light and equipped with modern facilities, including air conditioning. Snug yet spacious, it's ideal for intimate receptions or sit-down dinners with your nearest and dearest.

The Royalist Lounge

For up to 40 people

The social heart of our hotel. Here, elegant décor rests easy alongside ornate leather armchairs and soft three-seat sofas. The Royalist Lounge is ideal for relaxed gatherings and sit-down lunches, where light snacks and casual conversation are the orders of the day.

Also noteworthy are its well-stocked, wood-panelled bar and abundance of space. In the Lounge, guests have plenty of room to mingle, sit back or stretch out.

The Darwin Suite

For up to 90 people

The Darwin Suite is a roomy, flexible space that's ideal for parties, dances or large dinner functions. Modern amenities are plentiful – the suite has its own dance floor, as well as air conditioning throughout.

Yet with its timber-framed walls and historical atmosphere, it still feels intimate and special. The Darwin Suite accommodates 90 people with reception-style seating or can be split into two rooms to seat up to 60/80.
